A Ministry Born in the Streets of Phoenix
For decades, Church on the Street has served homeless, vulnerable, and struggling people across Phoenix through outreach, discipleship, practical care, and the hope of Jesus Christ.
Luke 14:23
“And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”
Rooted in faith, driven by love
Church on the Street traces its roots back to 1977, when Pastor Walt began preaching on the streets of Phoenix and opening small houses for men in need. Since becoming a nonprofit in 1985, the ministry has continued to serve people through outreach, discipleship, worship, and practical support grounded in the Gospel.

The Journey of Restoration
Hope
Every journey begins with someone being seen, loved, and reminded that their story is not over. Through outreach, prayer, and practical care, we meet people in hard places with the hope of Christ.

Growth
As trust is built, discipleship creates space for truth, stability, accountability, and spiritual growth. This is where healing begins to take deeper root in everyday life.

Restoration
Over time, lives can be rebuilt through consistent support, renewed faith, and Christ-centered direction. Restoration is not instant, but it is possible through grace, discipleship, and community.
